Opus 1 Music Studio is hiring an experienced Classical Guitar Teacher to join our San Francisco Bay Area faculty — based in Palo Alto, California (Silicon Valley). You'll work with a community of internationally recognized teachers, premium facilities with acoustic grand pianos, and a roster of 1,400+ motivated students of all ages.
You'll teach classical guitar to students from beginner through advanced — fingerstyle technique, sight-reading, music theory, and repertoire from the Renaissance through contemporary works. Students prepare for recitals, exams, and college auditions.
Benefits and compensation: Compensation starts between $45 and $60/hr as a W-2 employee, with paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k), professional development opportunities, and free private lesson tuition.

What we look for
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in music performance for the instrument taught and/or music pedagogy — a BM, MM, DMA, or equivalent conservatory training. International training is welcome.
- Experience teaching students across ages and levels, including exam preparation (ABRSM, Certificate of Merit, RCM) where applicable.
- Two recorded teaching videos showing full lessons and at least one performance video, requested during the interview process.
- A criminal background check is required at hiring.
