Our Palo Alto campus at 3401 El Camino Real has been filled with lessons and music for months now, and on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, we made it official. Under a bright September sky, we gathered in front of the studio for our grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the campus with the community that has supported us for 20 years in Palo Alto.

A ceremony is only as special as the people who show up for it, and we are so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us.
A very special thank you to the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce for joining us for the ribbon cutting and presenting us with a certificate to mark the occasion. Your warm welcome means a great deal to our team.
We also want to thank the City of Palo Alto for being part of the ceremony and for welcoming Opus 1 into the community. We are proud to call Palo Alto home.
To our students, families, teachers, neighbors, and friends: thank you for spending part of your day with us, and for making this campus such a lively place since the day our doors opened.
Two years in the making
This campus was a two-year project, and every detail was planned with our students, parents, and teachers in mind. The result is a dedicated 4,500-square-foot studio in a prime location in the heart of Palo Alto, featuring:
- 17 music lesson rooms, each designed for focused, comfortable lessons
- Premium pianos and instruments for students of every level
- A welcoming reception area where parents can relax during lessons
- Rooms built for teachers to do their best work, lesson after lesson
After the ribbon cutting, guests came inside to toast the campus, enjoy refreshments, and tour the rooms our students already know well.

20 years in Palo Alto, and a new chapter
Opus 1 has been part of the Palo Alto community for 20 years. Today we teach about 1,400 students every week, and roughly half of them take lessons at our Palo Alto campus. It has been a joy to watch so many students grow as musicians, and this campus lets us welcome even more families for years to come.
